Keep in mind that whichever tips tricks that is hired will be inside everyone's living space. It isn't the same as a group of people working outside or on the roof, these people will be right there in the home.  
  
All I have seen lately are layoffs, cut backs, take overs, and closings of room made, showrooms and product companies. It saddens me. I have seen colleagues get laid off by the dozens and cut backs in salaries and long-standing product companies and showrooms that have been staples in our industry now closing down or being taken over by other companies. This is the true meaning of trickle down.  
  
Replace the pulls and knobs of your closets. Just like with bathrooms, you do not really have to change fixtures to change a room's look. Just change the handles and knobs of your cabinets and you can totally transform the entire room. You could go modern and use chrome or stainless steel; you may also go classic by installing brass or bronze.  
  
Just remember one thing : always take the views of family members while planing to expensive pieces the drawing room. You should not forget they will use it and the should like it.  
  
Personalizing your inter design process project can be very beneficial in the long run. It never hurts to ask for help, but remember that your involvement will help to ensure that the finished result reflects your desires. It will be more enjoyable when you are doing it yourself.  
  
Interview a few Interior Designers. Share your project with them, ask them about some of their previous work and discuss their fees. Most people do not think they can afford an Interior Designer, this is not true. Fees can vary from nothing, to an hourly fee or a percentage.  
  
Think about how many people will be using a room when you are designing it. Do you have a lot of people living in your house or are there a lot of people visiting? Also keep in mind that each room will have its own unique set of needs. For example, living custom window treatments will differ greatly from the dining area or bedrooms. When you remember this fact, you will be more prepared to make design decisions in your home.
